The Balgove Course

Opened in 1972, the 2,085 yard 9-hole course was where the majority of local children learned to play. As part of the re-design of the Eden Course in 1989, much of the area was lost and the course closed. A remodeled version was opened in 1993, having been built in conjunction with the new neighbouring Strathtyrum Course.

The new course has been built to a much higher standard than the course it replaces, and included proper tees and bunkers which don't resemble bomb craters.
